Return of Plus One
Plus one returned as a new night at The Lord Nelson on Holloway Road on 12th July. It was quiet at first but it picked up as the night progressed. It has moved towards a much darker goth night playing 80s, goth, industrial, electronika and a few other genres for good measure. We weren't too impressed by the band that played but they fitted in with the theme of the night and looked good on stage. The DJs played a variety of tunes, many going down well. After about midnight, there were enough people there to say it had been a sucessful night. The bar remained open until the end of the night and the staff were friendly. It's a good place to go for a drink and by the end of the night most people had been on the dance floor. Open from 9.30, it could be somewhere to begin the night before heading to the Slimelight.
