The Devonshire Arms
The Devonshire Arms used to be the only 'proper' goth pub in Camden. A strictly no jeans, no trainers, all black kind of drinkspot.
If you want to go for a quiet drink it's virtually empty around luchtime mid week - rapidly transforming into a packed out haunt in the evenings.
The Dev' holds regular events and you can be sure that a heady mix of goth, metal, industrial, ebm and 80s will be played.
Happy hour occurs Monday - Wednesday. House spirits and mixers for around £2.50
In November 2007 the owners decided it was time for a re-vamp and the bar staff and managers were changed. The dresscode is not as strict as it used to be. The Dev' is still a goth hang-out but a new and friendly metal crowd have also emerged.
The smoking area has been improved, now fully equiped with tables, a shelter and heat lamps.
The 'new' Dev' has bought the crowds back in and it even seems to be busy on a Sunday night. It's not quite as goth as it used to be but still well worth a visit.
