Spirit of 77 and Defcon Zero @ The Dev
Defcon Zero blew us away in the Dev on Sunday night (20th July). The pub was packed out and there was a lot of moshing in front of the stage, washed down with a mixture of beer, cider and ales. Punters were jumping about and standing on tables. Everyone in high spirits. The Dev is far from the quiet Sunday haunt it once was but the change appears to be for the better. Kev (sorting out the sound) did a good job considering the pub soundsystem and Leo on vocals was so loud he blew a speaker. The band have a great presence on stage and are well worth checking out if you are into punk.
Spirit of 77 were a cover band and didn't receive anywhere near the same response as Defcon. They were alright for a warm up band but unfortunately many were unimpressed.
